  Unsecure warning when signing in?
Posted by: sunnyd47 - 03-22-2017, 03:12 PM - Forum: Suggestions - No Replies

Just wondered why firefox is giving a warning regarding the security of the website sign in and password when being entered on the site. It recommended trying to add https instead of the just http but that still goes to a security warning page, any chance up making the sites sign in etc more secure?

Is Ascend still a thing?  Or has it totally disappeared into the Æther?

  btrfs option during installation?
Posted by: koesherbacon - 03-22-2016, 07:22 PM - Forum: Features - Replies (1)

Hello!  I'm really surprised that I seem to be the first person... ever... to use these forums.

I really like the Live OS of Ascend, but my /home partition is btrfs.  Is there a way I can add btrfs functionality to the SystemBack Installer?  I really don't want to backup over 300GiB and then transfer it back just because I'm stuck using Ext4.

Alternatively, is there a way I can install Ubuntu, Mint, Debian, etc and run a script or something to convert that distribution to AscendOS?  Sort of like running--

Code:
sudo apt-get install lubuntu-desktop
to convert regular Ubuntu to Lubuntu?

Thanks a lot!

~ Ev
